It was the year 2002, and the humdrum tempo of life in the UK was no longer feeding my soul. I needed more 'life' in my lifestyle. When the opportunity arose to move to France and help my cousin set up a business, I didn’t hesitate!

I settled in a village in the Languedoc and spent seven years working in real estate. By 2010 I was married with two children. Alors, since then I have navigated the school system, as well as the employment system; I’ve bought and renovated properties; I've divorced; I’ve gone through nine cycles of renting my family home out in the summer season; and I’ve managed year-round furnished rentals in two other properties. It's fair to say I have experienced the gamut of life experiences here in my adopted homeland!

In 2014 I was head-hunted to help set up what quickly became a national and highly-reputable relocation company. While there, I successfully helped hundreds of francophiles fulfill their dreams of a life here in France. My knowledge and experience grew, and I developed an extensive network of resources.

Earlier on this year my daughter moved away from home which has allowed me to dedicate the space and time to launch and nurture Hammond Help.
